Dancers, remember to prepare your choreography!
Dance Auditions
Dancers: Please prepare for your audition by composing a ballet choreography en poine to Tchaikovsky’s “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.” We will need to observe your skills in both choreography and dance. Your choreography can be as long as the length of the entire song, or as short as the 1 minute and 25 second mark. Please wear your pointe shoes during your audition.
What to expect at an audition:
1. Register first!
Before you audition, you must register on our website, under the Registration tab found under Get involved. There you can find our handbook, more information on cost and the registration form.
2. Prepare
Under our Auditions tab, find the audition piece that best suits you and your age range. Prepare anything you will need to bring to the audition such as your photograph and commitment fee.
3. Memorize
Memorize the lines for the character you want to audition for. You will need to recite from memory during your audition.
